Wiganda is a modern city-state on the continent of Massuwa in a time centuries after invading Djinn brought genocidal war. Sorcery remains a source of immense power and utility but only in the accepted form brought by the priests of Papa Audei and wielded by Damos, healer and warrior. Other forms of Djinn magic are condemned and the druids of the north with their command over the natural laws are untrusted. Out-worlders like Vargon the Khorvashian are citizens of Wiganda and his ancestors were in fact allies against the Djinn when the Doom Gates were opened. They fought undaunted against the Djinn hordes and annihilation of the Khorvashian race almost came to pass. Today, they are a ostracized by humans for their general hatred of all out-worlders. Rhadika and Kwan are two loyal warriors of Wiganda; one from the city and one from the village tribes of the south. Under great duress, the strength of their goodwill is stretched as they try to accomplish their mission on the northern edge of civilization.
